Kawhi going to Lakers, not Clippers, is the smart play if he wants to live in L.A. The Lakers is by far the more prestigious franchise and Anthony Davis is close to his same age. So Kawhi can age with A.D. as another superstar teammate even as LeBron enters end of prime. And they will be a title favorite immediately next season.

The most dysfunctional and least shrewd franchise gets rewarded just because of the market and weather? Kawhi shouldn't even consider them after they weren't willing to take a risk on him last summer. But an entitled player with the most entitled franchise would be the perfect match.

This might be the only year I'd be ok with the Spurs going after Cousins. He's a good deal at that range.

Agree he rides Lebron and Kawhi coattails. Watch the Knicks step in with a big offer.

I have seen a few rumors that say Kawhi is going to go to the Lakers and will take less than the max so they can sign Danny Green and Cousins. Still holding out hope its LAC or Toronto.

IF Houston was ever a realistic option, then Jimmy choosing the Heat over the Rockets and Sixers tells you all you need to know about his mindset. Sure, Miami is a more attractive city and he gets to be "The Man" instead of second or third fiddle, but at what cost? Have fun with those first round playoff exits for years to come, at least he will be close to the beach so he won't have to go far for vacation
