What's the new evidence that came out? The race angle is absolutely ridiculous. I think Russ knew exactly what the comment meant and took the race angle after the fact so that he didn't come off as homophobic.
The fan made a joke/comment about Russ being on his knees because he had the ice pads on? Maybe I have thicker skin than most, but my friends say much worse than that to me on the golf course on a weekly basis. I don't think that comes close to verbal abuse and doesn't even warrant a comeback from Russ. I've also had worse said to me by people who aren't my friends, people on opposing teams, opposing fans talking **** at college football games, random drunks at bars, etc. And I have never once felt the need to respond or fight back to someone making a dumb/not funny comment about getting on my knees.
Give me a break. I understand fans can go over the line when talking to athletes. I get it if the athletes lose it if the fans mention their family, something personal to them, etc. But unless there is more to the story (maybe I haven't heard everything), I don't see why Russ blew up like he did. I'm not defending what the fan said or did, but it seems like the SJW mob has gotten out of control in this situation. Not sure one dumb/not funny comment deserves a fan to get banned for life, lose his job, etc.
