Handy little 5 game losing streak while some of the bottom feeders across both conferences have been winning 4-6 games of their last 10.
Any mid-season thoughts that may have changed regarding your top target in the draft?

Also, for those who do not listen to Norm and Donnie on the little Ticket, it was discussed/confirmed that Lebron has some people look at a house for sale in Preston Hollow, near Dirk's house. They were also very careful to mention that this is no way hints at Lebron coming to the Mavs, but still interesting nonetheless.

Good news: Mavs would split the most ping-pong balls with the Hawks if the season ended today. The Nets have no incentive to tank. The Knicks are about to crash hard but 5.5 games is still quite a bit to make up.
Bad news: Mavs only 2 games away from drafting 8th. Mavs have the best point differential of all teams on the list (except the Knicks, which won't last long) and have one of the easiest schedules remaining in the league. Mavs didn't really make themselves worse (why is JJB still on this team?) at the trade deadline.
Overall I don't feel great about the Mavs position. I didn't realize deep tanking was so difficult. They could still finish anywhere between 1-9 at this point however it feels much more likely that they end around number 7 than number 3.

"If" LeBron is looking at a place in Dallas...my suspicion is that he is about to move to a very high tax state (maybe California), and wants another residence in a low tax state (like Texas) to perhaps serve as an official residence or something like that to lower his overall tax bill.

Good bull! Jalen Jones getting some playing time tonight! Didn't even realize the Mavs had picked him up. Apparently the Pelicans waved him early in January on the 8th and the Mavs signed him 3 days later. Enjoyed seeing an Aggie playing for the Mavs tonight!! Rooting for him!

To go to a game knowing that you want the team you cheer for to lose is pretty pathetic, and now going through it as a Grizzlies fan, it really increases apathy. Especially in these years where there also isn't much suspense
I just wish they would do something like count games against non-playoff teams as opposite results.
Keep the official standings as they are kept now, but when the records are calculated for the lottery, a win against a non-playoff teams counts as a loss, losses count as wins, and recalculate the order and the odds.

In the NBA being a 7th or 8th seed in the playoffs or just out at 9 or 10 can doom you to a decade or longer of futility. If tanking is bad what's the fix to help those teams? Keep in mind in the draft there may be 10 decent players in any given year. If taking works at least you rotate out the bad teams.

It's never a good time for stories like this to come out, but especially now when everyone is sitting on their season ticket renewal package, myself included
It sounds separate from basketball operations (players, coaches, etc...). However I don't completely buy Cuban's defense. Sure, he probably did delegate the work that the marketing/website department did, but I can't imagine that he didn't hear any stories about this Terdema Ussery guy. This Ussery guy sounds like a total POS, surely Cuban heard or saw something. Also, whoever hired the HR guy really ****ed that one up, that is the root of the problem here.
