34 minutes. 1 rebound. 2 assists. 0 points. How is this even possible?

Noel is definitely a Tyson Chandler starter kit, even down to the pencil legsNoahAg said:
Ouch. Went to the Rockets game Saturday. I don't think the Mavs did a single thing well. Accept for JJ hitting some shots. Not gonna win many games when he's the leading scorer.
Being in Houston, I don't get to see the Mavs much on t.v. I knew Nerlens was skinny, but holy cow, standing next to Nene, dude has pencil legs! Seriously, I was waiting to see them snap.
I hate to say it, but I really wish Dirk could come off the bench as strictly a spot up 3-point shooter.

For some reason, I really thought this team would compete for a 7-8 seed in the West.
I know how silly this sounds, but I'd be willing to bet that if Noel had signed his contract, he'd see more minutes.mavsfan4ever said:
The Noel minutes are the most mind boggling thing I've seen in forever. I just can't think of a logical reason why they aren't playing him more.
Oh well, hopefully we can get a top 3 pick. But that might be hard to do if Seth comes back and plays well.
Good sign for the team fighting back in an early season tailspin of a game. Down 22, but brought it back to lead by 2 latefightinags2013 said:
Impressive to claw back into the game vs Memphis. This team will obviously struggle at times- but the guys on the team seem to really pull for each other.
Also- Wes has done a total 180 and is not totally on fire.
Yea, but it's not like the other four guys were making an effort to get open either. Too many spectators.mavsfan4ever said:
Awful possession by DSJ on the last possession. Definitely looked like a lost rookie pounding the rock non-stop and jacking up an awful 3. I'm sure Carlisle will use it as a teaching moment, so hopefully he learns from it.

I don't think DSJ even looked for them though.
You could tell he had no intention at that point to pass, and I'm guessing every Mavs membe felt that way

Carlisle took total blame on that- said he didn't communicate well enough the plan on what to do. Maybe he's just covering for his rookie, but he stood by what he said.
