The only time I felt this way was during undergrad. Other than that, I think it's hilarious that people are that hardcore about it. I'm a big Kevin Durant fan; been watching him since high school. Seems to be a nice enough guy so don't really have a rooting interest.

Might get **** for this, but aside from Von, Acie, JFF, and Dat, VY was my favorite college athlete ever. Mostly because as graduated the same year in HS and I remember the impact he had on Houston sports at the time.

Won't wear a jersey of anyone's because I think that's for 12 year olds (to each his own), but I'll cheer for somebody if I like them, regardless of what school they went to.

9pm is brutal. I miss Mountain Time for sports.

The 1st quarter was definitely NBA playoff basketball!

Good first quarter. But I have a hard time believing that the Cavs really have a chance in these finals. I get the feeling that things are going to slip away from them faster and faster. Maybe playing at home will help stop that. Or maybe I'll eat crow in an hour.

Kevin Durant with 20 points in first half with still a few minutes left, including like 4 totally uncontested dunks. Apparently Cavs decided to cover everyone but Durant and see if he can dribble and make dunks. Hint to Cavs...yes...he can.

Cavs giving up too many offensive boards. Turnovers killing them too. Maybe somebody other than LeBron and Kyrie will come to play in the second half.

Klay Thompson has played like absolute garbage on offense.

Warriors make their usual big run and score first 13 points of second half. Cavs seem to settle down a bit but 75-60 Warriors lead.

He has seemed to be in a slump all playoffs.

Welp it was a fun first quarter.

This is more frustrating than it is fun to watch.

This feels like it's just Curry and Durant competing against each other for the MVP.

Maybe the Cavs will do a bit better in Game 2 now that they have confirmed that the Warriors are far better than any of that trash they played in the East playoffs.

I do think it will take longer for the Cavs to adjust to the Warriors style than vice versa. I wouldn't be surprised to see a closer game two either.

We'll see what the ratings say after the series is over.

LeBron-media has been making sure to remind Durant that LeBron has 'owned' him, so probably he is enjoying himself right now.

Let's not forget that LeBron gave himself the nickname 'The King' so it isn't like the Cavs are the humblest bunch.

Would be nice though if they put up a better fight in this series though. Last year also had some blowouts so we will see if Cavs recover...what is troubling though is their defense was usually not very good this season...so them being able to stop the Warriors...yikes.

Tristan Thompson with 0 points and only 4 rebounds. That jumps out to me. Usually Thompson is a terror on the boards.

In regards to KD ruining competitive balance and turning off a bunch of fans (don't know if this is substantiated since attendance and merchandise sales keep increasing) - I really don't know what to think about it.

I understand it being frustrating to be a fan of another team and know that they have such a significant advantage, but it's not like they signed Steph, Draymond, and Klay in FA w Durant. They pretty much build every part of their team and then Durant wanted to hop on board.

I'm just going to choose to let it happen.
