Offensively, Gasol plays like a power forward and Dedmon like a center. Defensively, Dedmon plays like a center and Gasol plays like a 9 year old girl. They would share the court just fine. But it does help to keep Dedmon as the backstop for the second team.

The 4 and 5 position on this team are virtually interchangeable, especially moreso now the way Pau is spacing the floor. Nice personal attacks though.

Having Dedmon start would add a more competent pick and roll defender with Kawhi being taken out of the game so they aren't exposed much. I'd much rather have our less-capable defenders going up against a team's bench than the starters that are running circles around us.

Dedmon is getting 10 to 15 minutes for a reason. He's virtually invisible on the offensive end save for a nice dunk every one in a while. Meanwhile, Lee is a pretty dang good offensive player still and his defense isn't as bad as Dedmons offense.

Lamarcus has really sucked this year

This is the first time that Gasol & LA have worked together passing over opposing D down low to score. If this continues to develop, then I'll start becoming more optimistic the Spurs ceiling is WC finals w/a puncher's chance at Finals. Up to now, max ceiling in my opinion was WC semi's.

Never mad at a 20-3 run in the 4th quarter

Took care of business on the second night of a back to back on the road. No players over 27 minutes. Nice win overall. Saw some bad turnovers but overall the offensive flow looks to be a lot better.

Spurs give Lamarcus all the shots he wants and he can't make them. He misses the easiest put backs.

He's a bit soft. Not egregiously so, but enough that it irritates fans and keeps him from reaching his potential. It's more obvious this year when he isn't trying to impress Tim/live up to Tim's standards.

Looking ahead, Spurs have a very difficult next week of games coming up. Should be able to take care of business Sunday against the Pelicans but @HOU @LAC @POR will all be very tough. Hopefully the Spurs can win 2 of 3 on the road, with the LAC probably ending up as the loss because of the matchups involved. After the road trip the Spurs play on Christmas against the Bulls who we lost to late in Chicago. Houston, Clippers, Bulls all on national TV.

I like all the players (with the possible exception of gasol), but in spite of all the wins I don't feel like I'm watching a championship contender. Definitely need some sort of post-all star switch to flip this year. Looks like Leonard will be the only one who has to deal with that distraction.

There's been some criticism of Lamarcus on here lately, but he's having a great game being aggressive and physical on the block against Anthony Davis. 16 in the first half going right at the unibrow.

Not sure how many Spurs fans realize how lucky they are to have a big man and great teammate like David Robinson and/or Tim Duncan for over 25 years with their franchise.

If we didn't have Robinson, we wouldn't have the Spurs. They would have left when Red sold. It was a large group of SA businessmen that go together to purchase the team and none of them would have taken on the team by themselves, though I know a couple wish they had done it alone now.

Duncan is supremely unique. In the history of basketball, I don't know of any super stars that have the combination of character, leadership and ability as him.
