Sports are a mental. The "cockiness" that you guys hate is part of what makes them so great. Not only do they just believe they can make the big shots, they know they will. It's a foregone conclusion. The second they start doubting it is the second they're no longer the best team on the court. Playing the way that they do, knowing that the shots are going in, and acting accordingly...none of it is wrong. It's a continuous cycle, and doing the things they do keeps them on their game mentally and in turn helps them perform at their best physically.
You can hold everyone to the standard of the Spurs if you'd like to, but they are pretty much the one and only exception. It's just not how sports are played by and large these days. Any sport at any level for the most part.
Also, from what I've seen, Curry never really talks at his opponents. He'll give a look every now and then to keep himself into it mentally, but his celebrations and "antics" are all pretty much directed within himself and his teammates. Some for the fans.
