I'm not being dense. Morey is great. He has done a terrific job of acquiring talent without going into the luxury tax or missing the playoffs despite the losses of major players like Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady. He is a fantastic GM.

Unlucky is breaking a mirror and getting 7 years of bad luck. How many years in a row has Morey been unlucky?

I think at some point you have to admit that something more than bad luck is playing a role.

For a somewhat more nuanced comment on Morey, I think he's good at some things but bad at some other things, so on the whole he's ends up middle of the pack. He is good at identifying talent and was a fast follower when it came to using advanced metrics. But on the other hand, he churns through players so fast that they end up playing their best ball for other teams and the Rockets have a tough time developing continuity. He's also a little too willing to ignore issues between the ears.

Is that a controversial view? I don't read every post on this thread, but I'm curious about what is going on in the division.

Like I said, I discussed this exact topic in the links I little while back on this thread. I really don't feel like doing it again. Basically people need to stop being cheap like your average Facebook commentor and look at the bigger picture. Has he screwed up? Yes. But I strongly believe that there's nothing that you could've done to protect any of this happening.

You're the one getting your feelings hurt over a tiny observation about the management of a professional basketball team which other Rockets fan clearly have differing opinions on than you. So yes, it is funny that you are so sensitive.

Don't worry, I'm sure "Sensitive Rockets Fan Protector Mod" will be around any minute to remove the posts of anybody that isn't pumping full on Rockets sunshine up in here.

What do the Spurs have to do with this? Do you envy the year that they have had with a bunch old dudes at the helm?

Houston is so great! They are championship bound...NEXT YEAR.

get over yourself. Reality is that Houston should be doing a lot better than they did, but are dysfunctional.

I don't feel nearly as bad about all the Rockets posters trolling the Spurs vs Thunder thread after the game 2 meltdown now.

Agreed. I may have talked **** over here after the Rockets advanced last year and the Spurs didn't but I never once thought to go to their thread. IDGAS about what they post or say. Why is it they feel the need to come to our thread constantly?

Honestly, it makes sense for JB's career. He couldn't stay here as an assistant, and I am sure ownership told him they were going to go in a different direction and grab a more experienced head coach.
