I like this

The Spurs have signed Guard Jonathan Simmons to a two-year contract worth the minimum. Has played last two years with the Austin Spurs and played College at Houston.

I'm not ready to say goodbye to The Sandwich Hunter.
quote:RC sure made it sound that way in his latest interview although nothing is definitive yet.
Does this mean Red Mamba is gone?
quote:Watched your clip and didn't see him dribble off his foot once.
Kind of reminds me of a young Stephen Jackson.
quote:He does have a very similar handle as his dribble is very high like Jack. Simmons appears to have pretty good control of it though all things considered.

quote:quote:I loved Bruce Bowen as a defensive pest and a corner trey threat. And he was (and has been) an exemplary rep of the Spurs off the court.quote:
puro San Antonio right here.
I love it.
But his number did NOT need to be retired. That is setting the bar too low.

Moore beat out Magic Johnson for the assists title while playing under 30 mpg. The Spurs would have killed for a PG as good as him between the time he got meningitis and Tony Parker learning his tear drop.
Moore averaged 11.3 points, 9.7 assists, 2.4 steals and just 2.7 turnovers over four seasons while averaging just 30.9 mpg. That could have been the difference on some of those Robinson teams. I'm at least fairly confident that he wouldn't have thrown that around the back pass against Portland.
quote:Eff it.
At least AJ hit a NBA Title winning shot, the first for the franchise. And he did go on to be an HC
But I agree, Avery was setting it too low.
Then again, so was Johnny Moore.
