I remember watching that game 5. The Spurs looked completely tapped out and you could feel the Pistons wresting control of the game away from SA. And then Horry stepped up out of the blue and carried the team for the entire 4th quarter and OT (he made his 1st shot of the game with 1 second left in the 3rd quarter). Everybody else was in a funk and couldn't do anything right, so SA kept dipping into the Horry well, and time after time, he delivered. I went back and looked at the play-by-play, and he went 7-8 from that 3rd quarter shot to the end of the game and scored 21 points. For a brief period, it was like we had Michael Jordan in silver and black. I couldn't even believe it. I was laughing like an idiot as he drained huge 3 after huge 3 every time Detroit tried to pull away.
I know he's hit some big shots, but that was the finest hour of his entire career. He went ham for a whole quarter + OT and hit the game winner to steal a crucial Finals win on the road.
