Apparently cancelled on NY because he does not want to play center.
The Knicks meeting was cancelled because they want Aldridge to play center (this according to David Aldridge).
I'm guessing if that's the case (other than NY being a complete sh**hole to play for), he is probably scared that once Tim retires he will be stuck at the 5 spot. That would be the only basketball reason I can think of for not wanting in with the Spurs.

if he's that much of a p***** I don't want him anyway. Don't think that's a major issue with the Spurs though.
Don't blame him for not wanting to be paired next to a frontcourt consisting of Melo/Porzingis.
Offensively, the Spurs bigs are pretty interchangeable offensively. Both play in and out. He might be asked to guard C's sparingly throughout a game but it wouldn't be his primary responsibility all game. Plus the league is continuing to go smaller and smaller.

But you're right. If he asked Pop bluntly if he would ever have to play Center. Then Pop of course was honest and said yes. Any team that says no is lying to his face in a league that is continuing to go smaller and smaller. Not sure what type of answer he's really looking for there. Unless it's something like "I dont want to start at Center and play 40MPG as the biggest guy on the court". In which I can understand that sentiment I guess.

LA doesn't have a center either though. Are they going to try to get Lopez or DeAndre to come with him?

Looks like Daivid West wants to play in SA and appears to be willing to wait for LMA decision. I would assume West + Another C would be plan B at this point.

What's the vet min, 3 or 4 mm? Still can't see him taking an 8 million pay cut. I understand he wants to win but that is crazy. Still think we would need to find some cheap rim protector though in addition to West and LA
The Vet Min for him is like $1.5mm.
