The Suns would be the dumbest possible choice for him. He's picking a team with less money than he'd get from the blazers and less supporting talent than he'd get with the Spurs.

The salary numbers still don't add up for Phoenix. Woj is right that they now have $20M in cap room but they still have to sign Chandler. That isn't enough for both LMA and Tyson. They are going to need to shed more space.

IMO, it doesn't make any sense to leave Portland for Phoenix. There is more money in Portland and probably a better team. If he's leaving Portland, it has to be for a better team. That basically means SA at this point. I would guess that Phoenix is going to make a move for one of the second tier bigs.

They also have $13mm/year tied into the Morrii twins that cannot leave the state without permission. Not sure I want to join a team with that type of baggage when I could join a top 3 coach all-time that has a history of extending player careers to go with multiple HOF players with multiple rings.

It's one thing to complete the team meetings you had already committed too but now its time to start being honest with teams. If it's down to Suns/Spurs that's fine but make it known and say you need a couple more days to think it over. Shut down all this hoopla and speculation around it. Not cool.

No need for a drama queen who is jealous of the best player on his current team (unless this is some weird Jedi mind trick by Aldridge and the Spurs). I've not been completely on board with the idea that bringing in Aldridge is the best plan, but taking some extra time and meetings doesn't bother me too much.
He's making a decision about the next four years in his prime and at the peak of his earning power, I've got no problem with him taking a couple extra days to get it right. If he takes too long he'll start to infringe on his next team's chances of filling in the pieces around him, but we're still a week from signing day.
Regardless of what happens with Aldridge, we have Duncan, Parker, Green, Kawhi, Patty, Diaw and max cap space. It's gonna be alright.
