TheMarcus said he was going to listen to the pitches all all the teams and decide afterwards. I think the Spurs are still fine there.

Quite frankly, he'd be dumb to resign.

Henderson
Lillard

They traded away Nic Batum for Henderson. Wes Mathews looks like he is leaving. Or he could be plugged into one of the best teams in the NBA.

Bosh decided to stay in Miami rather than join Houston as well. Sometimes money talks.

More players would be wise to sign with SA and Pop.

I agree but at this point he's just keeping his word on meetings he has already agreed to. He knows teams are spending a lot of time and resources to make a pitch and he has already told him he would listen. Not stringing teams along yet. He's got two more meetings tomorrow (TOR & NY) and I would expect him to have a decision by the end of the week, possibly tomorrow.

You see guys all the time that have a chance to join good playoffs teams for the same per year money but turn it down for that extra year of income. 27 million is nothing to sneeze at.

The obvious difference being that if LMA signed a 2-year with the Spurs, then resigned a max deal, he would make more than he would by signing a 5yr with the Blazers.

I love Houston, but if I am a young, wealthy NBA player, the South Beach lifestyle (and climate) would have a lot of allure.

I don't see Aldridge doing the 2 year deal. That is terribly risky. Not saying he won't, but I don't see it. If I'm his agent, I'm telling him to take his money now and not count on being a healthy stud 3 years down the road.

I would expect him to get a deal with a player option no matter how long its for. But I'd think if he's leaving, he's getting a 4 year deal.

WOJ just tweeted Suns have legitamately closed the gap for the pursuit of Aldridge, says "they're a real factor."

Don't wan't to get too negative but it's sounding again like another typical offseason when it comes to Spurs and a big time FA.

I just don't see it. That phoenix team has a worst supporting cast then he had at Portland. Don't give me that knight Bledsoe great backcourt crap. No way. Borderline playoff team even with Aldridge.

Would be stunned if he picked them. Would just have to laugh if that's the case.

Depends what else they do. They already dropped Nic Batum and it looks like they may lose Wes Mathews. Robin Lopez is leaving. They can probably do two max guys, if they let Mathews go.

Don't think deandre leaves money and an almost guaranteed western conference finals run with LAC to play 3rd fiddle in Portland. The only place he's leaving for is Dallas.

If LMA agrees to return to Portland with DeAndre, then to me they make more sense than LAC. Similarly built teams except Portland doesn't have Doc as a GM. Rumors they could be bringing Kendrick Perkins along with Pierce. That has to be real inspiring.
