They do it after every win. It's hard for us, as Americans, to comprehend since we don't have a national sport that we all collectively care about as much. Like for pretty much every other country on earth, when the national team plays, the country stops. We could never, gotta work work work!

Yokel's anthem reviews
I'm not going to be able to watch this game, but I am dropping by to listen to the anthems. Oh, and prophesy. (Prophecy is only available during the anthems. That's how it works.)

God Save the King is an anthem from an older era. I doubt that any country would select such a simple tune today; like the English, it is understated, but solid.

This is my first time hearing Doctor Congo's anthem. Weirdly reminiscent of something like a World War I marching song. I did not hate it, but the players did not seem very into it. England wins.

Kane opens the scoring for the limeys. There are some nervy moments as Congo finds an equalizer, but England pulls away late, 3-1.
