No I get that and I understand why he chose Mexico. But still others have moved elsewhere for their careers and still played in the native country of origin, eg Messi moved to La Masia at what, 12-13 years old? Just saying he's a talent and Mexico is dangerous with him. I just think an attack with him, Luis Diaz and Rodriguez would be scary.

I am looking forward to that match extremely. England is quite a bit better than Mexico, but Mexico has arguably the greatest home field advantage in soccer (in terms of how much better they are at home versus a neutral site).

Feels like the kind of game the English will lose in a penalty shootout.

I recently hired an Aggie who was born in Mexico. He roots for Mexico and the U.S., more so for Mexico because that's where he grew up, and I root for both U.S. and Mexico, obviously more so for the U.S., because that's where I grew up. But I also live close to South Texas and my mom's family is from South Texas, so I don't have a problem with Mexico or Mexicans.
