I think he was just in over his head. He was probably the lowest level ref here. He had his one game and should not get another. Hopefully.

He was not just missing calls but he was playing loose and fast with the Laws and making technical errors refs at this level should not make. And Egypt won because NZ isn't very good.

So Algeria are appealing the officiating due to the Messi call. Will Belgium do the same?

Honestly the foul on Troussard could easily have been a Red.
