Frank sacked.

Clearly they were worried about relegation then if they stuck it out with Frank.

Timing sucks though, won't get a big name now, so will some interim save them? That's still a huge risk.

Spurs at 29 points, NF at 26 with a game in hand and hammers at 24 in the relegation zone at 18th.

Any other club should be worried about it.

Several reasons in my opinion. In no particular order:

1. lack of any semblance of an attack,

2. injuries; long-term: Maddison, Deki, and Solanke, and short-term: Porro, Richarlison, Bentancur, Kudus, Danso, Udogie, Bergvall, Davies.

3.players seemed to give up on him (VdV & Spence brushing him off), Tel wanting to leave in January,

4. fans gave up on him quickly,

5. poor transfer business. Selling your top scorer (when you're struggling to score) and then the bad luck of Kudus getting injured immediately afterward. And not bringing in any attacking help up top?

1 and 2 may be related. If you consider them to be, then the transfer window should have been a high priority.

meh but that's what i expected just a horrible time to snag a coach for longterm and short term options are limited and meh.

Obv I hope it works and we stave off relegation to bring Pochettino back in summer after WC.

he was killed by injuries, but even when he had the full roster on the field the team just had no idea what to do in the final 3rd. Just endlessly pass the ball around the box until there is a low percentage cross or a turnover. Just nothing up the middle. If we scored it was because a CB got fed up and wondered into the box unmarked.

I'd take any of the last 4 managers styles over franks.

Did he ever really have the full Spurs roster to work with?

The loss was disappointing, but expected. I thought we came out with a lot of fight, but to hold them off for the full 90 minutes was just not going to happen. That being said, I think it would have been a different game if that second goal isn't waved off. And if Richy's header crosses the line to make it 3-3, even more so. But If ifs and buts were candy and nuts...

I think all we really know after this game was that the gap between us and Arsenal is as wide as we thought it was. We'll know more after Fulham next Sunday.

Ridiculous that the pundits are saying Igor Tudor now realizes the size of the job he has. Unless he has been living in a cave, he would know how poor Spurs have been and how good Arsenal has been.

At Fulham this Sunday. We haven't scored there in our last 2 games, so we need to end the drought. They play a relatively high line, so maybe we can get in behind them with a long ball that we kept playing over and over against Arsenal last week.
