I'm guessing Richy gets some rehab and is used sparingly in the last few games of the season, then is sold this summer.

Seeing a lot of smoke and articles about Franks situation. It seems they want to replace him, but midseason choices are limited and previous interim coach periods have been awful. So the board is concerned about making a change that would possibly put them at risk of falling into relegation. They are currently 10 points ahead of 18th.

I'm also hearing Pochettino is interested in returning but only after the WC. I'd love to see him return.

Perhaps they can sign him to a deal that starts after the WC ends? Or just wait.

I agree they will hold out for Poch. Xabi is sitting there, but he probably wouldn't take Spurs in a million years.

The biggest concern here is that it's just not likely that a coach solves anything. We need a full overhaul and I'm thinking that isn't likely.

We will never know because they never give any of them time to fully ingrain their ideas and build a team capable of implementing them. Their message is win NOW, with the players we have, or GTFO. The Ownership and (local) fans simply don't have the patience required for a full overhaul.

Unless or until they bottom out and get relegated. I think that would do it. Of course they would expect immediate return to the top level but that should not be too difficult and might give someone time.

I don't want that selfishly. But honestly. it might be best longterm. We are one of the few that have never been relegated from EPL but never say never. We were relegated in 1977 from the top tier and bounced back to have a strong run in the 80s.

Ugh, relegation would be awful and I hope it doesn't come to that.

I just don't understand why they buckle under the slightest pressure; give the process time to work. This behavior is pathetic for an organization as big and prestigious as Spurs. I heard it stated on several occasions that Frank's teams start slow. Why would they expect anything different? Because this is Spurs? Sheesh.

The problem is the ownership. That's what needs to be overhauled.

Is it? This is a sincere question. I thought the Lewis family was (or had been?) hands off, with Levy running all the day to day operations until recently.

Just turned the game on. Happy with the current score but oh my did poro just blow a one on none opportunity.

I'm just happy to have led the whole game and won by multiple goals. Should have been more, but can't really complain about a home win these days.

what's hilarious about this is that we have the opportunity to make a pretty good run into the CL and also get relegated. Even as a Spurs supporter you'd have to admit that would be hilarious

Just like last year. Win in Europe. Fight hard for relegation.

That would be perfectly poetic for Spurs.

1. Win Europa during a terrible season and qualify for Champions League - done
2. Win CL while getting relegated from EPL - possible
3. We would then be CL eligible next year as a Tier 2 Championship team playing in CL. And they would sell off everyone to rebuild thus guaranteeing we tank the CL and probably not get back to EPL.
