I think there are 3 options. Well 4, if you consider the status quo an option.
1. This 6 yard box rule being discussed (stupid)
2. Move the "corner" kick so that it is even with the 18 yard box or something similar, which allows the defense to set an offside line instead of a hard 6 yard box rule (also stupid)
3. Clamp down on the grabbing and shirt pulling like FIFA did during the last World Cup
3 seems the most "reasonable", but there will be an adjustment period with a crazy amount of penalties until teams adjust. And then once they do, maybe attacking teams will rely even more on corners if they feel they can't be defended properly?
