Even Ggg apologists like me were turned off by how average the team looked against Bolivia. The Panama result was the icing on the cake.
Me trying to figure out why Paraguay and Ecuador fired their head coaches immediately upon losing at the Copa America, yet Gregg Berhalter led the #usmnt to one of the worst performances in our history, but is still employed by @ussoccer pic.twitter.com/kySaPc94QV

shocking that it didnt take them longer?themissinglink said:
The only thing shocking is it took the federation more than a week to come to the decision.
they had to, but I agree...I thought they'd make the wrong choice there and lose viewership, fans, sponsor dollars and all the equity and momentum they'd built the last decade or so. Glad they made the right business decision. Had they not, it would've proven that no one in the USSF has the right biz chops to be in those roles. Maybe there is hope yet. Crocker needs to not **** up this new hire after ****ting the bed with bringing Gregg back. He killed it on the USWNT side, but he's batting .500 in a role where that's not up to par.jeffk said:
Wow. I didn't think the Fed had it in them.

You should be prepared for them to take 6-8 months to replace him.
So 6-8 months of Klopp rumors then we'll hire a middle of the pack MLS coach?HowdyTexasAggies said:And likely an underwhelming hire.Mathguy64 said:You should be prepared for them to take 6-8 months to replace him.PatAg said:shocking that it didnt take them longer?themissinglink said:

Klopp said "Nothing for a year", so it's gonna be more like 10 months.Mathguy64 said:PatAg said:shocking that it didnt take them longer?themissinglink said:

I like Dolo, but there's a large contigent of USMNT twitter that will be unhappy with him. I'd also like for him to get a full 4 yrs cycle.
Only way they're all happy is if its KloppAston94 said:TRM said:

We are not hiring a coach to make USMNT Twitter happy. That is an impossible request.
Dolo would be a great hire.

Agreed, the realistic pool just doesn't make me do backflips, but is what it is. There's a handful of names that would have me do backflips, but as long as Gregg's out, I'm hopeful
