Would be a better coach if he was flexing some Avia high tops.aggiephoenix02 said:

So glad a fifty two year old man wears cool shoes.

Damn. I didn't watch the game but there is no way Columbia has 5-1 more talent.
They might have 5-1 more coaching, though. US Soccer deserves every self-inflicted bad thing that happens. Leadership of clowns to rehire GB.
That was my point.
Hey ho. . Ggg has got to go.

If you don't watch the game you can't be part of the conversation...

We can only hope this is the beginning of a quick spiral that ends with the firing of GGG
Won't happen before world cup though, so probably not worth putting that energy out there
I will be shocked if we waste our one shot at hosting a WC in my lifetime trusting in a coach that has been a lame duck for 4 years.
Why be shocked, US Soccer is more concerned with woke crap than winning.
That is true.. kinda happy we got smoked in the pride jerseys. "Pride goeth before a fall"

The USMNT are now 5-7-6 (WDL) under Gregg Berhalter against teams ranked in the top 20 of FIFA’s World Rankings.

Four of those wins are against Mexico.
The USMNT’s only win under Berhalter against a top 20 team excluding Mexico is Iran, a 7.1% win percentage in those matches. pic.twitter.com/GuTX9e9gXX
We have enough talent at this point to at least progress to the knockout rounds, but in general I agree with you.Dre_00 said:
Should maybe add that I personally am very ambivalent about Berhalter. I don't think he's an elite coach capable of taking this team to a QF+ run in the WC but I also don't think his replacement will be able to either. I don't think the talent pool, though historically deep and talented, is deep or talented enough to challenge the elite and I don't have a lot of faith in USSF replacing Berhalter with an elite coach to help compensate for that.

What's gonna be really fun is if Marsch starts killing it with the Canadian team.
Oh I'd love for him to have been fired before he was ever hired in the first place. But you gotta watch the games!Rudyjax said:PatAg said:Rudyjax said:Marvin said:Rudyjax said:

You really think it's just because of this game? I only watch games with USMNT are playing.
We have more than enough talent to not lose to Columbia 1-5.
It's bigger than just this game and you know it.

You're absolutely right.JJxvi said:
The biggest problem with actually fixing any issues with this team is that after years of demanding this type of skilled continental European attacking prototypes to fill the whole team, it has largely actually been accomplished, but the team no longer has any strengths that can be relied upon. Team defense and commitment is bad. Set pieces are bad. Theres not an "anti-GGG" you could hire that would win big with these players, its honestly probably more a project suited to a Mourinho type that will find and demand 8 players play defense if necessary to win a particular game

Are y'all talking more crap about Gregg the Ggreat?
If the players would just execute, there wouldn't be any questions about the coaching…
