Realistically, the only way GB gets the ax is if we get bounced early from these CONCACAF competitions and it looks like he's lost the locker room. I say this because these are the main two reasons he was brought back in - he wins trophies and the player pool mostly likes playing for him. So he's definitely in charge until next fall the way I see it.

I agree with getting bounced early, but its gotta be almost entirely if he were to somehow lose the locker room. I actually think we could bring a new coach in as late as the year of the World Cup tbh. Since we dont have to qualify. Long enough for them to understand the playerpool, and institute whatever sort of systems they intend

Which I think is vastly overrated at the national team level, its more deploying the right tactics at the start for the right match and adjusting in -game (specifically at half, but somewhat during the game too).

I fell asleep with the tv on and woke up with spectacular timing.

First time I woke up was 9 minutes into 9 minutes added time. Saw the ref extend the game 2-3 more minutes just for Mex to tie the aggregate scoring.

Second time I woke up was during the 4th penalty kicks for each side. Saw the ref give the Mex dude 3 tries to score, apparently the Hon goalie left the line early - but no issue with the Mex dude stopping his run up to the kick each time? Then when the Hon dude missed his kick the Mex goalie left his line early but I guess that was ok then?

Seems like it was a total cluster unless I'm missing something -

If the keeper leaves the line and they still score, the count the goal. Why punish the kicker?
You're allowed to feint in the run up, and I guess they didn't consider it a stop.
Mexican kicker hit 3 bad pks and got lucky. Grip it and rip it.

I've been to four (maybe five) US-Mexico matches and almost all were in Texas. Had a fantastic time.

The only time I felt a little unsafe was in the crush leaving Reliant several years back. Everyone was nice and liquored-up and some groups of fans near us were jawing at each other too much. Some blows were exchanged but it ended pretty quickly. So yeah, pretty much the same thing that happens at every NFL game each weekend.
