I've been to four (maybe five) US-Mexico matches and almost all were in Texas. Had a fantastic time.
The only time I felt a little unsafe was in the crush leaving Reliant several years back. Everyone was nice and liquored-up and some groups of fans near us were jawing at each other too much. Some blows were exchanged but it ended pretty quickly. So yeah, pretty much the same thing that happens at every NFL game each weekend.
