Entire ball outside the vertical plane of entire width of the line. Any part of the ball still directly above white is still in play regardless of whether the bottom of the ball is entirely touching on green.

They theoretically have a much better view than the camera because they are looking right down the line and can just look at the edge of the ball to tell unless blocked. Goal line is a different story and in the goal you often used to see bad calls and probably the same for corner/goal kicks

IF these results hold, and Spain advances as runner up, the good thing for them is they avoid Brazil in the Quarters. Of course, now you have to question if Spain is that good.

Man Spain and Germany have such an advantage that they can literally take 15-20% of Barcelona or Bayern to makeup a national team. Which makes what Japan and CR doing even more impressive.
