I agree for the most part but there are occasions where the offside is uber clear and the AR let's the play run nonetheless...and one of these someone is going to sustain a major injury simply because the AR waited 30 seconds to raise his flag for a player who was 3 yards off.

I tend to agree… but I also have a suspicion that ARs are looking for other fouls more often now instead of being so focused on offside, and that's good too.

I definitely think VAR needs to call it down sooner sometimes.

Glad it isn't just me. I'm not used to seeing the looooong delay in offsides. That makes no sense to me. Either call it immediately or don't call it at all.

As frustrating as it is to have it called back late, it's far worse to have it called back early and wrong.

This will be another crazy finish tomorrow. How can this not be labeled the Group of Death? Think about it, there is a high chance that Germany goes home, and the two that make it out will be very good teams! I'll get some disagreement, but Costa Rica is a good team.

The GER-CRC match will be fascinating. It will have an all female crew including ARs who have never in their life worked games at this level. If the Ticos go all CONCACAF this could turn into a world class **** show.
