Completely dominated the first half…and then decided to back off and let them control the second half when a second goal would have killed the game.

That was a huge 2 points dropped. Have to keep pushing for the 2nd goal. After 60 minutes USMNT should have been up 2-0 if not 3-0. You get punished when you aren't aggressive and sit on a 1-0 lead.
Good play by Wales on the quick throw-in restart, 2 guys got in behind the USMNT which switch off for a second. Absolutely a foul by Zimmerman, no reason to go through Bale like that when he is facing away from the goal.
