Maybe. Or at the very least, if you're looking at two fringe guys, you take the one who's got a better attitude and wants to be there. I do think Maloney is a better 6 than LDLT and others who were called up during Adams' absence.

Speaking of Adams… I'm glad he isn't coming this camp. Dude has consistently broken himself again by playing too hard for us when he's just freshly back from injury. I complained about this last time it happened… glad we have a coach now who will listen to me

Pefok isn't as good as the other strikers, and he doesn't speak English or Spanish.

De la Torre and Weah were the only ones who could talk to him.

Any interest in these Jamaica games tomorrow and Monday? I will watch, but don't really care. Seeing the usmnt play concacaf light weights has grown tiresome. I don't care about whatever tournament this is part of. Maybe I will care when the rounds progress.

Random thought that I had this morning. Is anyone aware of any Americans playing in league 1&2? I wondered how may there are that I've never heard of but wasn't too interested in digging through Wigan and Gillinghams rosters.

Transfermarkt says that there are 5 in League One and zero in League Two.

That part was easy. They don't make it easy to see who the 5 are. I hope CP just stays in Italy because his form has been incredible but I wouldn't blame him for wanting to prove to the world that he's good enough to impact the EPL. They evaluate 1000s of players. Doesn't mean they have interest and doesn't mean they don't have interest.

I 100% agree with that. I guess what I'm saying is that I believe the chances of EPL teams actually trying to sign CP is much higher than EPL teams signing Pepi. These teams are constantly scouting players so you're right about that.

Picking nits here, but I think Pepi has a better chance of getting signed by a random EPL club. Probably a solid half or more of the EPL wouldn't want to pay that much for one player. Certainly not for an American. Meanwhile, I could see bottom half EPL teams interested in Pepi.

That said, your sentiment is correct if we're talking about Top 6 clubs.
