Tuchel is a petulant child in a grown man's body. Dude was sitting on a damned suitcase on the sideline as a lame duck coach at Bayern.

When the soccer world linked Tuchel and Poch to both England and USA vacancies in middle of summer, I thought both coaches were impossible for us, so it wasn't really worth paying attention to… but I did recognize that England could probably get either one, so I was hoping that they would be dumb enough to take Tuchel over Poch.

The way this has unfolded is a major win in my book.

Chelsea collapsed while Graham Potter coached the team. Finished 4th and won the Champions League after replacing Lampard, finished 3rd the next season, FA Cup runners up both years, lost to champions Real Madrid in second try at the knockouts, then was fired at the beginning of September in his third season, presumably because Todd Boehly really just wanted to buy everyone ever associated with Brighton

You probably didn't have the same money or spare time to take immersion courses.

That said, it's awesome that he's choosing to do so when so many players are just happy to draw a paycheck and interview in their native language.

Of the handful of "types" of players we are missing in the national team pool, its been a while since we had someone that could actually hit a ball like this play for us. (maybe Reyna)



I'd rather hit this pass then score this goal.

There might be some chicken/egg thing here.

We never have 2 guys running into the box at the same time like that. Those guys both watched the "hockey assist" and knew exactly what they needed to do and either one could've potentially gotten on that ball. Get bodies in the box and make your own luck.

I suspect we have guys with the technical ability, but they probably look at the **** show happening with the attacking movement of our 9's and 10's and don't bother trying. And I'm not necessarily blaming those guys, but rather Ggg trying to pretend he's Pep and insist on pretty soccer. Our guys get to the final 3rd and think instead of do.
