I think you could be right. Like I said, I didn't want him to be our coach. I watched him plenty at Leipzig and a bit more at Leeds and wasn't impressed. I was mostly playing Devil's Advocate regarding the notion that his sour grapes were because he thought he deserved the job.
I think if Adams, McKennie, and Aaronson spoke up, they did us a great service. But it would also not be surprising that it would create a deep rift.
I agree with you completely about his coaching prowess/reputation. He spent his off-time living in Italy, learning another language while looking for work around Europe… And as a seemingly competent coach who desperately wanted to find a European job and spoke good German, and probably at least decent Spanish and Italian, the best job he could find was… Canada. Speaks volumes to his reputation. They deserve each other.
