I was the league's leading scorer for a couple weeks early in the season though, was downhill from there.

To be fair, I forget who on this board is local to BCS and who is not.

I graduated in 2008, but played intramural and city league with a bunch of the club guys.

When I was there, A&M's men's club soccer team played in the CS city league too… and regularly got wrecked. I think they've gotten a lot better since then thankfully.

Definitely wasn't. I think we won the league one season and then were almost last the very next. Without much change in roster.

blew out my gut trying to beat the opposing GK to the ball, and that spelled the end of my brief competitive rec career. can't remember exactly what year that was, but it would have been sometime after the fall of '99 (when i moved back to CS) and that game was played at Central Park.

played a couple seasons of the small-sided turf variety at Veterans later on.. until other physical ailments that come with age and an unhealthy lifestyle turned me into a golf-only athlete.

Veterans was great, but Central Park was way better…

He is until he isn't. They said this last year and then he started 29 games for them in the league. He has 1 year left on his deal so a lot of teams aren't going to pay a ton for him when they can get him for free in 12 months. While the obvious incentive is to find a new club that you can actually play at, you can also get paid a ****load of money just to show up to training everyday. Pretty cush life for Weston for a year.

Motta has told several players they are out of the picture which leaves them with a pretty thin squad. Only takes an injury or two before he has to play some of the guys he's saying are out.

So the next windows look like this:

Sept. 7 vs Canada in KC
Sept. 10 vs NZ in Cincy (both of these rumored to be coached by Mikey Varas - yay)

Oct. 12 vs Panama in Austin
Oct. 15 vs Mexico in Guadalajara (both of these could be coached by Poch I suppose)

And it's probable he could get a bigger salary next year rather than this year. Agents have a lot more wiggle room when a player can leave the club on a free.
