Josh Wolff. Disaster. Lucky to get a point out of that. Honestly unbelievable.

Is Alex Ring now expendable? With Driussi being an obvious captain candidate, and Periera filling in nicely into Ring's natural role/position, is it time to move on from Ring? He has always seemed like too much of a hothead to be an effective leader, and the team seems to actually improve when he's not in the game. Thoughts?
Fair enough. I like Ring just fine, but now that he's using one of the invaluable 3 designated player spots, I have high expectations, especially given the current deadweight that Cecilio is to the designated player limit. Anything further about his status?fig96 said:
Ring is playing as more of an 8 than a 6 this season, he's shifted from the holding midfield role he traditionally plays (which is where Pereira has been starting). What's interesting is we brought in Valencia to presumably start at the 6 and Pereira hasn't given it up yet.
So that said, no, while Ring hasn't excelled this season outside of a few matches he's still been generally good to very good in that spot and we need at least 4 starting quality central midfielders. He's also a lot more composed that people give him credit for, his ejection last season was the first of his career and he actually doesn't get that many caution considering the position he's primarily played.
