I would say more often than not he just doesn't quite have the skill needed to consistently make the final play in a sequence. He has the soccer knowledge to be in the right spot, and the one thing you know you will always get from is he will never get out worked in a game. He's basically the kind of player that's good enough for the MLS and he's good enough for most concac games He's just not quite good enough for top tier international play.
If he is the worst player in your starting lineup it's not the end of the world but ideally we can replace him with better talent

I for one DON'T think it's amazing how a Mexican will take every opportunity to cheat the system. It seems like a very common trait they all share...

I agree. It feels like he's not doing anything wrong, but he's also not going to be the one to execute a potential opportunity.

I would sub Williamson off at the half. I don't know if it's the ball to the head he took or more likely just his not being quite ready for this level of play. He's been invisible in a crucial role for us

It is amazing this squad made it this far. I will give them credit for never giving up and somehow conceding very few goals.

Bad shot. If he cuts it back to his right, the first defender overruns him and he has a better look at goal with his right foot. Oh well.

That was Arriola in a nut shell. He's a guy who's ceiling isn't a World Cup roster.

Hoppe lacks basic understanding at times, but you can see an upside.
