Apparently there is speculation that CONCACAF will now reject the new WCQ setup, as FIFA is going to add more international dates. The new rumor is some sort of 8 nation, Octagonal, setup, but unsure if it will be home/away or just round robin.

I think it's deeper than that. He isn't getting a whole lot of playing time at Newcastle and has been hurt for the last couple of important USMNT cycles. I would think he would jump all over an opportunity to get some playing time at the International level.
Shaq Moore of CD Tenerife, which plays in the Segunda Division in Spain, has 2 assists on the day. He is playing very well.

Does the "USMNT" bother anyone else? He lists all countries there beside the United States. Why not just say the United States or the US? I guess I don't really get the whole USMNT thing.

I had a dream the other night that the US scored 6 goals in about 35 minutes in the first half against Costa Rica. They were just pounding away at the goal and probably had an additional 10 shots on frame at the CR goalie was actually doing a great job at keeping some of them out. I was going crazy and the most excited I've been about US Soccer in a long time.
Towards the end of the barrage MO Salah put a couple in and I was confused for a bit and then sad when I realized it was a dream.
