That dc Columbus game was crazy entertaining. The dc defender went from hero with a sweet volley in 2ot then comes up as 5th shooter and sends it over the bar to lose. Hero to zero

Steffan and Hamid played well. Hamid had an incredible save at one point

So glad the Crew held on to win that game. Steffen has saved the Crew on so many occasions this season. I would have preferred Mullins to not hit the post. I always hate watching a guy miss the frame and lose the game.

Ridiculous Leg 2 game of Portland @ Seattle. Ruidiaz with an amazing volley in the 93' to force extra time at 3-3 on aggregate (each team had 1 away goal).

Both teams scored in extra time, but apparently most of the Portland players didn't know away goals don't count anymore in extra time and they were confused when it went to PKs.

Portland wins 4-4 (pk 4-2) in the end in an entertaining series.

The rest of the Leg 2 games are on Sunday.

Hells Yeah!

Atlanta wins its first MLS Cup after beating the Portland Timbers 2-0.

Being there was awesome. They set the new MLS Cup attendance record with 73,019 and it showed...it was LOUD!

Also, props to the Timbers Army who showed up and took over 2 sections in the top corner. They could definitely be heard throughout the stadium...when Atlanta fans weren't cheering and chanting themselves.

The game itself was entertaining. Portland looked dangerous many times in the first half but no real chances. The first Atlanta goal came off a weird deflection/back pass. The game seemed to open up a bit more and Guzan made an incredible point blank save on a header to keep Atlanta ahead. The second goal was pretty off a free kick, flicked on and put home on the back post.

It'll be interesting to see what Atlanta look like next year; their coach will be gone, Almiron will most likely be playing in England, and plenty of rumor around Josef Martinez.

Hopefully next year the Dynamo won't suck so much either.

Need to rewatch that first goal. I thought it could've been offsides but could never tell who actually played the ball back.
