They opened up the whole stadium for the opener and drew over 72,000. The next game was their regular setup (?) at 45k and they sold out.

Unfortunately, I think that is the correct ruling under current Offsides Rules.

In my opinion, he absolutely was a part of that play while offsides the second he ran towards the ball. You can't tell me that movement didnt have an effect on the defenders.

I'm fine with them saying he wasn't involved with the play initially. However, he was offsides when the pass to him came in.
