Pressure from Tech, no question. Sorsby can enjoin the NCAA for a time. But Tech can't enjoin its conference, every other conference, every school it has on its schedule, and everyone on the playoff committee. Eventually, they were going to suffer the consequences for propping up an admitted gambler, not to even mention the PR hit they've already taken and would take all season long.

Now they're going to be like "haha just kidding guys, we hate gamblers too. We would never let one play for us lol. The integrity of the game lol. Everything's cool now, right?"

Just a colossal f up by tech.
This was how it was gojng to end the second the backlash started, they could have actually come out looking decent had they done this then. Instead they doubled down, tripled down, ruined their rep (if they had one) for something they could never win.
And if and when the super leagues come, those pulling the strings won't forget it either. All for a college qb who hasn't won anything important as a starter.
Just crazy.

I'll bet that he won't be a Draft King by any NFL team in the Supplemental Draft. His best bet is to go to a UFL team like the Gamblers and keep his nose clean for a couple of years. If he succeeds, he might get a FA offer from an NFL club like the Las Vegas Raiders.

The way I understand it, teams submit a bid and the highest round bid gets him, but they forfeit that pick in the subsequent draft. I can see a lot of teams submitting a "what the hell?" fifth or sixth round bid, so I suspect he'll land somewhere. The only team dumb enough and rich enough to bid a higher round would probably be the Jets. I think the Browns should have learned their lesson that character matters when they drafted Manziel, but you never know.

Because NFL teams are even more sensitive to gambling then college is? He will be coming with the type of baggage that even they will have the hardest time stomaching. College football is a loose collective at best with most semi herded by the NCAA whose power we all know is a joke. The NFL is not that. Its power is immense and all encompassing and nothing matters more to it than protecting the integrity of the "Shield".

Not saying it won't happen, but I wouldn't be surprised if he is shunned there as well.
