I went to the Frisco Lone Star v. Aledo game last night since it was right around the corner.

This was World War III. Lone Star has SO many athletes. Best was #0, Davian Groce, who had over 300 yards receiving, 3 or 4 TDs, and was Mr. Everything. I'm not looking forward to him at Florida.

But their QB is only a sophomore and is going to be one of the greats. Trey Wright. I hope he gets a little taller so the major schools will look at him.

Jamichael Finley's kid plays for Aledo and is a great wide out also. He's going to Notre Dame.

Anyone else catch a game this weekend?

No doubt on the Florida receiver and the QB. That QB is going to be a stud. He's already got a handful of offers to smaller schools. I'm watching Southlake whip up on DeSoto (TV) right now.

You can stream these games on the Victory+ app for free. They will also have the state championship games.

He's 5 something. Listed as 5-11, but I doubt it.

This has to be the craziest ending to a Louisiana high school state championship game ever.

Ref right in front of the play gave him the TD. I thought he was short but the guy standing 4 feet away has a better view. Someone across the field overturned the call.

went watched Smithson Valley and Port Arthur Memorial last night.
Ive seen PA Memorial this year once, they have several D1 guys. Linebacker committed to Ags.

PA Memorial up 21-7 and looking to run away with it in the 1st half. Smithson Valley just hung tough and pulled out a gritty 31-28 win.

On a side note, as mentioned seen PA Memorial play twice this year, maybe he had off games but the linebacker committed to A&M was literally a non factor in both games.
I thought at first maybe he switched numbers or something but he had an A&M towel in his belt.
Im sure he has analytical numbers but again, was pretty much a non factor in the 2 games I saw him play and his team gave up 58 points in those 2 games combined.

Amazing game from that kid but he was playing on the edge the entire time. At the end of the 1st half, he was still upset about the ball spot on the 4th down that led to a turnover on downs and SLC TD. After the kick return he refused to give the ball to the side judge and threw it across the field. In the 3rd he was upset about his helmet getting knocked off and the ref put his hand on him to walk him off, he pushed the hand off him and said something to the ref. Really surprised he wasn't assessed and unsportsmanlike penalties.

Aledo loses. SLC loses

It's been a good weekend.

I'm an SVHS dad and I was on the field for this game. I got to see Tank Davis (Aggie Commit) up close and you are correct, he was a non-factor in this game and I wasn't overly impressed. PA Memorial came out swinging and punched SV in the mouth and was up 21-10 at half. In the 2nd half the SV kids came out and completely shut PA Memorial down, it was an absolute 180 flip from the first half.

SVHS is the defending State Champion and I assure everyone, Larry Hill will have these kids ready to win it again.

- Vandegrift then lines up obviously to kick an onside kick, CE King does NOTHING to line up accordingly, Vandegrift easily recovers onside kick...WTF?

Holy S'it

Was at the SLC / DeSoto game. Baker is legit. Feaster too!

We were right on the goal line and thought the QB was in. Very close, but tip of the ball broke the plane. Ref five feet away emphatically signals touchdown! Crowd goes crazy. Wait a minute, ref from other side of field comes over as the SL extra point team is getting ready, confers with the ref who signals touchdown and they spot the ball on e the 1 and say DeSotos ball.

Sad way to end such an exciting game. Maybe you reverse the call in the middle of the game, but on the final play when it would have gone to OT? And, gives one team the win on a switched call? I've never seen that before.

But, that's the way it went down. Southlake still has 5 more state championships than DeSoto and now we're 2-2 in head to head games.

It was a tough but fun game to watch. Our kids (Vandy) just couldn't stop King running. Their qb killed us. Great season. Brock Chilton caught 4 TDs. Teodeski threw 6 tds
