Agree - No one in the media and most of the college football analyst say we lose.

They see the following from the 30,000 foot level (right or wrong):

We lost our last game against t.u. and had to overcome a 30 to 3 score at half against SC.
Marcel Reed throws interceptions and is not a consistently accurate passing QB.
The media believes that Moss will not play at running back.
That both Miami's Offensive and Defensive lines are better than the Aggies.
That the Miami's secondary can handle KC, Craver, Bussey & Ashton BR.
That, if this is a close game that our FG kicker is not accurate.
Lastly, that aggie fans are selling their tickets to make money and the crowd
will only be about 80% true diehard aggie fans and not the normal 108,000.

This will be the hardest game that we will play in this season.
No one is picking us - We are the underdog and must Fight Like Hell to WIN...

I posted this in an earlier post.

We haven't played a good full game since Missouri. That's over a month ago now. Miami most recently went to Pittsburgh and dominated from start to finish. They have also blown out their last 4 opponents. The easy pick is to say Miami is hot and A&M peaked a month ago

  • I have seen several national media members picking us
  • We are slight favorites to win
  • Having this game at home means a whole lot
  • Beck is a good passer but a statue
  • We are the best team they have faced all year

I think the Ags were getting a little beat up and worn down by the end of the season. The 3 weeks off will do wonders to remedy that.

Appreciate the feedback: Thoughts:

If Notre Dame played both Miami and The Aggies again right now ND would Win.

The Aggies 3 1/2 point favored betting line is based on home field advantage.
-- The teams are even at best and most of the media don't really believe that they are even.

Danny Kanell, Joel Klatt, Cole Cubelic, Roman Harper, Paul Finebaum
and CBS Sports all have picked us to lose to Miami. Only JD Pickell has picked the Aggies.

-- Maybe they have a bias narrative that they want to play out.
They mostly hate the Aggies...

QUESTION:
1. Is the Texas loss an Exposed Weakness / Wound or is it A Texas A&M Reset Point...
2. Which QB can go play at the Highest Level (Mistake Free) to deliver the Win.
one safe place

Who cares if none of the "experts" are picking us. Let Miami hear how much better they are and that they're a "matchup nightmare" for us. I hope they walk in here looking past us.

All this consternation about who is picking who is funny. Almost every team in the playoffs has a good shot to win against any other team. Just depends on who shows up that day. OU seems like the only program with glaring issues on offense, but they managed to take down Alabama once.

I absolutely love that the narrative in several corners of the commentariat is about Miami being way too much for poor, undermanned A&M.

We can't run on them, they have the greatest D line in history, our secondary can't stay with their receivers, our o-line won't give Reed time to do anything, Miami will run at will on our d-line, we don't force any turnovers...

This team seems to perform much better when they're told they're going to get their asses kicked, and that's pretty much what everyone is saying, including a large percentage of the "experts" posting here.

Historically, we have routinely fallen short of our press clippings and have done less with more for decades. Being known as Texas 8&4 was done so for a reason. So its easy why the experts think along the lines of........."A&M loses because its the Aggie way of doing things. They beat up on lesser teams and then think that if they just show up, they'll win. (See game vs Texas) Now, they got a game against Miami and its at Kyle Field. (See game vs Texas - part II)"

I have a theory about this. I think the secondary market seems more flooded with tickets for sale because tickets were just issued this week for a game 2 weeks away. Typically, fans can sell their tickets months in advance, and the listings are for all the games for the whole season.

Plus, people make other plans since it is the weekend before Christmas. There is a lot of things going on besides A&M football believe it or not...

that, and most that buy on secondary market will be aggies

there is a massive secondary market for all games. to act like this one will be different because of seatgeek sales is ignoring how it is every week.

Georgia exposed Texas and either Texas fixed it or A&M couldn't capitalize. Either way tu looked like a different team. Maybe it was they were playing at home?
I expect the holes to be fixed, a game plan to be tailored A&M strengths on offense and the defense to have crazy blitz packages, and the players to be angry and focused after getting embarrassed.

Arch Manning (6'-4" 219)
Season YDS CMP% TD INT QBR
2025 2942 61.4 24 7 108.3

Carson Beck (6'-4" 225)
Season YDS CMP% TD INT QBR
2025 3072 74.7 25 10 122.1

Arch has better rushing stats...we helped out with that

I mean maybe they did, that game was 14-10 in the 4th quarter and then the wheels fell off, it looks lopsided on paper, but anyone what watched the game through 3 quarters could tell this was a dog fight

Miami is a better team than Texas and Beck is a better QB than Manning. Hopefully our guys show up this time.

The OLine and DLine for Miami is very large. Large and slow. We are slightly undersized on the DLine but fast. I think 3rd and long will be a nightmare for them.

Beck LOVES a check down. Where Arch runs, Beck checks down. They are going to have to sustain long drives to score TDs. We are relatively explosive. I like our odds if we limit the turnovers

Vegas has A&M as of this morning at 3.5 points. I trust them the most because they've got money on the line.

Historically, Miami hasn't done anything in the past 15 seasons. We have a better win loss record than them having played in the tougher conference for the majority of that time.

They're 112 - 77 since 2010 (not counting this season) and have failed to win 8 games in 9 of those 15 seasons

We are 121 - 69 since 2010 (not counting this season) and have failed to win 8 games in 4 of those 15 seasons.

So spare me the "A&M has been mediocre historically" while simultaneously ignoring the fact that Miami has been even worse in a less challenging conference. Hell, Texas was just as mediocre playing in the Big 12 until 2023 and 2024 and they were still in the lesser Big 12 in 2023.

Exactly

I would be concerned in this game if we were playing a mobile QB. Beck is the exact type of QB our defense will do well against.
