Think he saw the RB pick it up initially, but you have to understand that you are now on a 1-2 second clock to throw. You can't expect your RB to hold the block like a lineman

I think he is running alot, not so much called runs.
Reed calls his own number on at least half the RPOs and about a third are just not paying attention to what his eyes tell him.
Thanks for typing this out. Didnt want to spend the energy explaining the nuance of play calling to minimize QB exposure.

When the QB is already down and the big boy lowers his head and goes full weight into him... Yeah, it is. Not illegal cause Reed didn't slide, but it is cheep.
It was an unnecessary hit. But he is just a runner unless sliding.

You clearly don't investigate much, Reed is fine, and was already headed out due to the score difference.

QB2 took a hit, but still threw with pressure in his face. That kid has gumption and is going to do just fine.
