Just like Moose, Thomas was another WR TexAgs posters hyped up even though he had no elite results or production. We'll be just fine without him; he wouldn't have been higher than WR4 next year, in my opinion.

There have been rumors of us going after another one so maybe Noah leaving was known or at least the staff knew it was possible.

Nothing some more NIL won't solve if ptb chose to. CFB is moneyball now. Nothing to be pissed about. CFB is a business now. We needed speed at WR.
However Thomas has good size for a possession receiver and I doubt any of the recruits were slotted to replace him.

Oof, this is a big blow. I'm excited about our incoming transfers but having someone with Thomas' size and ability really rounded out the WR room. Liucci suggested on X that he was a thread to leave even before all the additions. Maybe there's a chance we can bring him back into the fold? I feel like I remember that happening once or twice last year.

It is possible that he doesn't think he has a clear future as a consistent starter against the wealth of talent we have coming in. He also might have received some information regarding the amount of NIL dollars being spent on all these WR transfers and recruits - likely a lot more than he is getting.
He also might have doubts about the likelihood that Reed will progress to the point if being able to constently see open receivers downfield and make the pass to connect with them.
All that being said, he may stick around if we can come up with a significant increase in NIL for him in 2025.

Malik Benson from Florida State was on campus a few days ago. Maybe he's coming in to replace Noah? Regardless, losing him really sucks.

Zoom out, remove the maroon glasses, and remove the logo on the helmet.
He's not a player that NFL evaluators are monitoring.
We need to get to a point where the position groups are loaded w NFL prospects.
In the interim, yeah we've still gotta field a team and play games.
