We have to be prepared for this. Every team has to. Players come and go these days.
Every player thinks they should be in part of the first team and will switch if it does not happen. No one wants to be backup.

The notion that players used to choose schools based on campus, traditions, and academics is still the biggest fairytale of them all. Players have always chose programs that they felt gave them the best opportunity to develop for a shot at the pros and/or showcase their talent in a starting role. Nothing has changed except now it's right in your face

6-6 200... should have been 6-6 230 and a beast!!! But he was a busy.... sounds like he was lazy in the weight room and chow hall

Hopefully this is a sign that our WR coaching is getting to a higher level of expectation and accountability and NT can't take the heat.

As others have said, like our entire program the production doesn't line up with the potential with NT.

Open 5 days after a bowl game. Today was the last day for him to enter.

This doesn't bother me at all. He averaged 3 catches a game for 44 yards. That is easily replaceable. Everyone here still views him as the true freshman who came in at 6' 6" with the potential be the next Mike Evans, but here we are 3 years later and he has barely put on weight and has had very few impact plays, and plenty of impact mistakes.

The assumptions you people make are astounding and just dumb. A good player leaves and you've got to make yourself feel better about it with baseless excuses.

You are right. At this point we have nothing to sell other than our ability to get a kid into the NFL. At this point, that is questionable.

Don't want to lose him but I think people are mourning the loss of what they want him to become vs what he is.

He may not have been all world, but he was better than any WR on our roster next year.

This program is a complete dumpster fire.

is that not elite for a Klein offense?

I actually thought I saw where the Sips leading-WR averaged like 55 yards per game.

Not sure how I feel about this one…sometimes I feel like we assume guys should explode onto the scene. He's had to deal with multiple QBs/coaches since he's been here. Not a great way to find rhythm in the passing game when everything is constantly changing.

I'd agree if we weren't a QB away from being a playoff team.

Someone is offering him more money is all
And he wants A&M to pony up if they want him to stay

I'm just not sure what any of us would do on here without Levypants football knowledge of our team. Thank heavens he's here so often.

Pay the man - keep him here.
We have a great WR room next year with him. Added a lot of twitch and versatility in the portal.

Without him, we lose a 6'6 deep strider and red zone threat that will result in one to two SEC game winners next season…

He lost us more games than he won us. Probably the biggest underachiever on the squad.

All that being said, he was likely looking to have his best season next year. He's a huge target and this brings our WR unit back down a notch.

Why do we have to compare him to a tu receiver? Aren't there over 100 other schools that play D-1 football? The ******* sip obsession never ends.

For being 6'6" he seemed to play like a 6'1" WR, often disappearing in games.

Always reminded me of Rodgers. Genetic freak that would have a big game then disappear for like 3 or 4 straight it seemed like. Never could quite figure him out tbh. Always just quick chalked it up to our QB woes but this has me looking at it all over again.

Some if these guys want to be sip. They breath, sleep and think sip at all times. Hell most of them were arguing with me just yesterday that Manning was the next coming of Christ.

He was okay but looked a lot better than he was due to our WR lack of talent this year. He would provide good depth next year but losing him isn't a big loss.

We have the 5 star Myles, Conception, Craver and Hudson (5 star) coming in. Plus Bussey and also Bethel-Roman who seems to have good upside. Going into next year we've upgraded the talent in the WR room a ton even without Noah.

I get what you're saying and that has some truth to it but leaving guarantees 2 things; a new QB and Coach.

I think he is exploring. Probably a litttle butt hurt over the new additions and they will be better. Nothing against Noah. He may have reached his ceiling. Good kid from all accounts. Wish he would stay but will wish him well.

Didn't quite hit his potential as a difference maker.....see dropped TD in USC game ..... Also he had plenty of opportunities this year to win one-on-one man coverage .... Just didn't seem to happen often enough

Would rather have him than not, but wondering if he is afraid of competition with the new WRs. Perhaps not WR1 anymore

NIL just helped us get 3 WRs in the portal who are better than Thomas and thus scared him into the portal. Hope that helps.

I would be REALLY surprised if somebody is taking him from us.

I just don't think he put anything on film that is going to make other teams say "let's go get THAT guy".

I think he may be trying to get more, but this doesn't strike me as some team out there paying him a ton to bail on A&M.
