How many times have we played Florida compared to the other used to be SEC East teams?

I remember we played Tennessee twice
I think we've only played Georgia once
Kentucky I remember once
I know South Carolina is an every year deal
Vanderbilt I remember twice, but may have been more
Missouri I think has been three times
Seems like Florida has been at least 5 times

That is mostly correct
Iirc
UGa once in Athens
UK once in Kyle
UTvols 3 times once was Covid year
Mizzou was our original perma-rival from the east so I think that is closer 5 times
Definitely played
USCe, Mizzou, UF the most which is why this years new non divisional schedule was so disappointing all 3 were on the schedule again

You are mostly correct:
Tennessee: 3 times; twice in Knoxville in 2020 and 2023 and once at Kyle Field in 2016
Georgia: only once in Athens in 2019
Kentucky: only once at Kyle Field in 2018
Vanderbilt: 3 times; twice at Kyle Field in 2013 and 2020 and once in Nashville in 2015
Missouri: 5 times; 3 times at Kyle Field in 2012, 2014, and 2024; twice in Columbia in 2013 and 2021
Florida: 5 times; 3 times at Kyle Field in 2012, 2020, 2022, and twice in Gainesville in 2017 and 2024

Missouri was our annual cross-division opponent in 2012 and 2013 before the SEC swapped Missouri for South Carolina as our annual cross-division opponent, and our rotating cross division opponents were Florida in 2012 and Vanderbilt in 2013. Then, the SEC had a 12-year rotation of cross-division opponents from 2014 and 2025 that was cut two years short by the conference additions of Oklahoma and Texas in 2024. We were scheduled to play Georgia at Kyle Field this year and Kentucky in Lexington next year, but these games won't happen until at least 2026.

I was hoping the all-SEC schedule in 2020 would give us a home game against Georgia and a road game at Kentucky in 2025, but the SEC gave us an extra home game against Florida and an extra road game at Tennessee instead. Next year, we will have home game against Florida and a road game at Missouri. It's crazy how we will play Florida at Kyle Field 4 times (2012, 2020, 2022, and 2025) before playing Georgia at Kyle Field for the first time and play in Columbia, Missouri 3 times (2013, 2021, and 2025) before playing in Lexington, Kentucky for the first time.

At face value, the first look at the schedule order just flipped locations from last year looks alright.

At Opponent
Home UTSA
Home Utah State
Away Notre Dame
Home Florida
Away Arkansas
Away Missouri
Home Mississippi State
Away LSU
Home South Carolina
Home New Mexico State
Home Auburn
Away Texas

Not saying it's as favorable as this year, but there's definitely a path to an improved record from this year IF we actually improve. Not guaranteed with Jimbo's track record, but I've gotta believe that we're on a better path than that, especially if a lot of our best talent returns.

Also, remember tsips have road games at Swamp, Hedges, AND Shoe, so I'm just saying their yellow brick road ain't nearly so cleanly paved for them next year.

Looking back at that 2012 schedule at the bottom and reminiscing about what could've been that season... That LSU loss still haunts us. I'm somewhat ok with the FL loss, as it was the first game of the year and JFF's first start, but that LSU game hurt...
Kept us out of the national championship game. Nobody in the country could have beat us by the end of the year with the exception of a rematch with Alabama. We would have destroyed Notre Dame.

If you go to Tarleton's 2025 schedule (FCS has already released theirs), they have a conference game against Austin Peay the same day they're supposed to play A&M. Buddy at Tarleton told me there might be some movement.

Anyone know anything about Tarleton State possibly having to cancel the game with us on 11/22?
Both our schedule and Tarleton State's schedule confirm that the Tarleton State game is TBA. We were originally scheduled to play Tarleton State on 11/22/25, but Tarleton State will play Austin Peay that day.

Unfortunately bad distribution of games for 2025. So 1st 3 SEC games at home, then 3 straight road games with a bye week.

Is there some reason why the SEC loves sending teams on multi-week road trips.

That is the same home schedule we've had in odd years since 2015: 3 patsies, State, Auburn and Carolina, but swap Florida for Alabama.

That happened to us in 2022 as well. No home games from late September until Halloween (first home conference game that year too)

There are several things I hate about our schedule.

1. It is very unbalanced. It's ridiculous how we will play 3 straight SEC home games against Auburn on 9/27, Mississippi State on 10/4, and Auburn on 10/11 before a stretch of 3 straight SEC road games at Arkansas on 10/18, LSU on 10/25, and Missouri on 11/8 in span of 4 weeks.

2. We will go for 5 weeks between home games against Auburn on 10/11 and South Carolina on 10/15. This will be the 3rd time in 8 years that we have gone for 5+ weeks between home games (5 weeks between the Kentucky and Ole Miss games in 2018 and 6 weeks between the Miami and Ole Miss games in 2022).

3. In 2021, 2023 and 2024, we had very balanced schedules that did not have a single stretch of back-to-back road games or more than 3 weeks between home games.

4. We are playing Samford instead of an SEC opponent in our final home game. Since 2015, we have played a cupcake opponent in our final home game in every odd year, except for 2019 when we played South Carolina in our final home game. We played Western Carolina in 2015, New Mexico in 2017 Prairie View A&M in 2021, and Abilene Christian in 2023 as our final home games.

The only good thing about our schedule is the timing of our 2 bye weeks.
1. We have our first bye week between our first road game at Notre Dame on 9/13 and our first SEC game against Auburn on 9/27. We will have home field and rest advantages over Auburn because Auburn will be coming off a tough road game at Oklahoma on 9/20

2. Our second bye week comes after back-to-back road games at Arkansas and LSU. Both Texas A&M and Missouri will have a bye week before playing each other in Columbia on 11/8.

With this schedule, I am predicting a floor of 7-5 (4-4 SEC) and a ceiling of 9-3 (6-2 SEC). The 5 road games at Notre Dame, Arkansas, Missouri, LSU, and Texas will make or break our season. Hopefully, we can go 7-0 at home, including 4-0 in SEC home games against Auburn, Mississippi State, Florida, and South Carolina and 2-3 in road games.

the Elko era may mirror the Sumlin era

the 2025 schedule with the front loaded home games...

sets up the Ags to start 5-1 or 6-1...and then come the road games
