good data

a little tricky since some of the Arkansas games were played in Little Rock

the 1976 team won in Austin and Little Rock -- a huge accomplishment at the time

Looks like the normal strong start with a late season let down. 8-4

I looked at 3 rivalries side by side: Arkansas vs Texas A&M, LSU vs Texas A&M, and Texas vs Texas A&M. Yeah 1976 would be the last time that we won road games at Arkansas and Texas in the same year.

I think we can go 7-0 in home games, including 4-0 in SEC home games.

Auburn: We won our last two home games against Auburn in 2021 and 2023 by 17+ points each, and the home team has won the last 4 games in this series.

Mississippi State: they finished 2-10 for the first time since 2003 and with a winless 0-8 SEC record for first time since 2002. In fact, Mississippi State has lost 12 consecutive SEC games, all of them by double digits since a 7-3 road win at Arkansas on 10/21/2023.

Florida: They will be coming off a tough home game against Texas, and we will be coming off a much easier home game against Mississippi State. Billy Napier is good for exactly one SEC road win each year: 2022 Texas A&M, 2023 South Carolina, and 2024 Mississippi State.

South Carolina: We are 5-0 in home games against South Carolina, and 3 of those 5 wins were by 13+ points. Also, the home team has won the last 4 games in this series. Because we will be coming off a tough road game at Missouri, and South Carolina will be coming off a bye week, I think it will be our toughest home game.

I think Arkansas and Missouri are the most winnable road games. Arkansas has not played well in home games against Power 4 opponents. Dating back to a 49-26 home loss to Alabama on 10/1/2022, they have lost 9 of their last 11 home games against Power 4 opponents, and 6 of those 9 home losses were by 10+ points each. That's why I think Arkansas is our most winnable road game. Missouri went an undefeated 7-0 at home, but all 5 of their home wins against Power 4 opponents were decided by 7 points or fewer.

I just hope we don't go 0-5 in road games.

I don't feel good about next year. I think we played above our heads this year for over half the season. After LSU, it seemed like every opponent's DC had us figured out and that's why we looked so pedestrian on offense. We won't be able to catch anyone off guard next season. It will be almost the exact same offense

There will need to be tremendous change in order for our record to be 8&4 or better

Please God let me be wrong.

As bad as Miss St was this year, we barely beat those clowns. Chances are, Florida will be better. If South Carolina retains their QB... advantage them. We had no answer for that guy.

Auburn sucks, and that's a game we should have won. Beating them next year at Kyle, I could see that. I just don't feel good about any of them other than the cupcakes

I very much like this schedule but I don't feel like we can offensively execute with the exposed and defeated combination of Reed and OC Klein.

I hope Elko remembers to call out Stanky about the consecutive conference road games in his post game comments after we win the SEC.

I know....I know, highly unlikely but a man can hope.

The bulk (3 out of 4) of our SEC home slate happens over a 15 day span between Sep 27 and Oct 11. Then a month of road games before S. Car.

the rest of the home schedule is blah.

This is what I hate most about our 2025 schedule. It's very unbalanced how we have 3 straight SEC home games and then 3 straight SEC road games in 4 weeks with a bye week before our final SEC home game against South Carolina.

I agree. Looks daunting. Could be our real rebuilding/re-tooling year and thrust that in the middle of that schedule and it could get ugly quick. Will be an interesting year. But I don't think expectations can really be set for another year or two (or three).

Add in we lost our best player in Moss and it wasn't exactly hard to figure us out.

That is also very likely before fall weather comes to the brazos valley which makes it worse

I think the South Carolina game is a great candidate for a night game.

Texas at Georgia will be prime time ABC.

OU at Bama will be at 2:30 or the other prime time game.

Gators at Ole Miss will be another top game.

Maybe they give us the SEC Network late game. Is there a rule you get at least one night game?

ridiculous that Alabama plays "Daughters of the Poor" in Tuscaloosa every single year in November!

No, there is no requirement that every SEC team gets at least one SEC night home game. Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Vanderbilt did not play a single SEC night home game this year. We have played at least one SEC night home game ever year since we joined the SEC in 2012, except in 2013 when we played Alabama, Auburn, and Missipppi State all in CBS' 2:30 PM slot and Vanderbilt at 11:00 AM

Our SEC night home games:
2012: Missouri
2014: Ole Miss, Missouri, and LSU
2015: Mississippi State and Auburn.
2016: Ole Miss and LSU
2017: South Carolina, Alabama, and Mississippi State
2018: Kentucky and LSU
2019: South Carolina
2020: Vanderbilt, Arkansas, and LSU
2021: Mississippi State, Alabama, and South Carolina
2022: Ole Miss and LSU
2023: Mississippi State
2024: LSU and Texas

We are playing Samford instead of an SEC opponent in our final home game. Since 2015, we have played a cupcake opponent in our final home game in every odd year, except for 2019 when we played South Carolina in our final home game. We played Western Carolina in 2015, New Mexico in 2017 Prairie View A&M in 2021, and Abilene Christian in 2023 as our final home games.

If we stay at 8 conference games and one Power 5 nonconference opponent, I hope we can play all our cupcake games before November. That can be done by delaying SEC play until Week 4. I hate how the SEC schedules cupcake games in the second to last week of the regular season.

That is true. I can see us starting 6-1 (4-0 SEC) with only a road loss at Notre Dame before playing at LSU. If we start 6-1, we should finish at least 8-4 with home wins over South Carolina on 11/15 and FCS Samford on 11/22. The road game at Missouri on 11/8 will probably determine if we finish 8-4 (5-3 SEC) or 9-3 (6-2 SEC). This is assuming we beat Arkansas in our first SEC road game.
