How many times have we played Florida compared to the other used to be SEC East teams?

I remember we played Tennessee twice
I think we've only played Georgia once
Kentucky I remember once
I know South Carolina is an every year deal
Vanderbilt I remember twice, but may have been more
Missouri I think has been three times
Seems like Florida has been at least 5 times

We have a much less favorable home/away schedule because we have home games against Auburn, Florida, Mississippi State and South Carolina and road games at Notre Dame, Arkansas, Missouri, LSU, and Texas. Hopefully, we can take advantage of the favorable home/away schedule to make the playoffs because it will be much harder to go 10-2 or better next year. The next year's schedules are usually released in September or October, but we might have to wait until December, just like we had to wait until December 13th for the release of this year's schedule.

Mizzou is like 5 because when we joined they were our cross divisional rival
Vandy I think is 3
Vols also 3 but one was Covid

Schedule is currently a 7-1 where we play LSU every year play 7 other random schools then after the home and away is complete play the other 7 schools home and away complete a full circuit in 4 years

There is talk that it will go 9 conference games with a 6-3 where each team has 3 permanent rivals and play the other six again completing the home and away cycle every four years
note transitive property of permanent rivals would NOT apply
A&M permanent rivals are reported as tu, LSU,& MSU
tu would have Land Thieves, Pig, and the Ags
ESPN did notches me up with the money and buying out ooc games was an issue so the conference is still at 8

The 2 schools from what used to be the east that we have played the most are on the schedule Mizzou and USCe &
Three schools we've played the least aren't
UK, The Vols , UGa

2025 schedule is the same as 2024 schedule with home and away games swapped as part of the transition period. This will help pave the way for a 9 game conference schedule in 2026.

Speaking of 2025, does anybody know / remember when the conference schedule drops? I put my foot down about wife scheduling trips during football season a couple of years back.

They haven't followed through on the schedule that does the rotating opponents because Sankey wants nine conference games.

As a result they are keeping candidate permanent rival games scheduled. Focus that looks like Texas, LSU, and MissSt.

One would think soon.

2021 delayed due to covid.
2024 delayed to to realignment.

Unless they are moving to Pods/Divisions next year, should be pretty easy to get 2025 set.

We have nonconference games scheduled for 8/30, 9/6, and 9/13, and 11/22. With that schedule, we will probably play our first SEC game on 9/20. Arkansas already has nonconference games scheduled for 8/30, 9/6, 9/20, and 9/27. That means we won't play Arkansas until at least 10/4. Like this year, we will get two bye weeks next year because there are 14 Saturdays between Labor Day and Thanksgiving weekends. Our first bye week will probably be the in the first or second week of October, and our second bye week will probably be in the first or second week of November.

Looking back at that 2012 schedule at the bottom and reminiscing about what could've been that season... That LSU loss still haunts us. I'm somewhat ok with the FL loss, as it was the first game of the year and JFF's first start, but that LSU game hurt...
