1.Require allNIL deals to be in writing- even if $0 have that in writing.
2. Require all transfers sit out 1 year.
This would fix 95% of whats most wrong.
Or, you are limited to one transfer. The transferring free for all is the root issue here.
Yeah, but I think the sit-out would take care of a great deal. Especially if you coupled it with another restriction like maximum of 6 years to complete all eligibility, regardless of hardship, injury, or otherwise. That would give you a 2nd transfer in some cases, but generally not.
so your answer is to restrict a kids freedom to try and get best deal for himself?
Nah. That's not the way.
Stupid take to a reasonable idea.
Job hopping every year is not the answer. Especially since the examples on this thread don't even apply since they bail after a month with no consequences. Be smart about your "commitment" (who am I kidding about that), and be smart about your next stop if your first "job" doesnt work out. You're getting paid a lot, especially a free ride through school (with value that apparently doesnt apply anymore), free food, free room and board, free women, etc etc. All value that regular people don't get to have. Some of you act like they're indentured servants who are literal slaves with zero control of anything they did before, during, and after school. Adding some restrictions doesnt contribute to that idiocy. It just keeps things from spiraling out of control. Like what we're seeing now.
Do you want to save this sport? Or act like these kids are victims and can literally do anything they want, but at the same time completely destroying everything good about a sport everyone on this board (hopefully) still enjoys. It's not too late to get this under control, but it's getting there very quickly.
