He was in a bad spot... 1 ag on 2 of them. The qb would have ran for it if the stayed put.


Have to know the situation though.

Leave your man, easy first. Let the QB cross the line and he has to get like 8 more yards before he has the 1st.

Not at all, he would be past the line of scrimmage and then you go get him. Don't leave ur guy wide open , that's rookie ball mistakes

You have to stay on your man until the QB crosses the line of scrimmage. The QB is not his responsibility until then. It's not a hard principle to grasp.
