What is concerning with the defense is this is 4th game and basic fundamentals are still lacking.. staying at home/setting the edge is middle school level stuff yet we can't do it against BG???

Is that who tu plays next week?
Also we haven't ran a dagger route (seam dig) that was the big play we hit moose on vs Florida. It feels like we get stuck on a concept for stints of the game.btglow87 said:ya no, they are running clear out routes not climb routes, or beater routes, or post, post-corner routes,... its very obvious they aren't the targets in some of these schemes... which is its own issue that even I can see that.PatAg said:none of them are fast enough to get behidn the defense though, or if they are we have yet to see itbtglow87 said:its not that its the concepts we run don't lend themselves to run open down field... we run down field concepts to open up underneath concepts... its a funky way of doing things.KatyAggie2000 said:
The biggest concern is no separation at WR. None. Every team should put 8 in the box and press man. We would be cooked. No WR that scares anyone. All possession receivers.

At least the sooners are getting pounded into the dirt. About time they stop having any favored rankings

My concern is that we don't have additional depth on the oline. We don't have a WR corps. We don't seem to have depth at QB.
New coaches, same A&M.
Good gracious. It's Year 1 with a completely new staff teaching completely new schemes and terminology to a fairly young team. C'mon.
Obviously, I'd like to be crushing BGSU right now, but it is ridiculous that people are acting as if things are the same when Elko's tenure is so young and we are using a backup QB.
Public Intoxication. Hall of Champions. Officers located a subject lying on the floor. Tried to find a sober friend but was unsuccessful. Subject stated he "needed to go to jail." Arrested. #BTHObowlinggreen
