Good gracious. It's Year 1 with a completely new staff teaching completely new schemes and terminology to a fairly young team. C'mon.
I don't understand why the expectation is that a perennially 8-4 team cans their coach and then somehow kills it in the portal, recruiting, retaining players, and then immediately exceeding where we were at under the previous regime.

Obviously, I'd like to be crushing BGSU right now, but it is ridiculous that people are acting as if things are the same when Elko's tenure is so young and we are using a backup QB.


That's why we're like this. Quit making excuses for any reason. We don't pay coaches to have poor years before then miraculously winning championships. The cupboard hasn't been bare here for a long long time now
The cupboards aren't bare, but we all know there are holes on this roster…or we should. There are gaps on the OL, we aren't deep at WR, we are on our second string QB, we lost our starting center, we lost our starting running back.

If your expectation is that we fire our coaching staff, deal with losses to the portal, injuries, gaps on our roster, and then somehow end up exponentially out producing our previous output, you may want to reevaluate your expectations in year one.

There are positives here and it looks like we're on a positive trajectory. BG isn't a bum team…furthermore, if we turn FGs into TDs in the redzone, this isn't a game right now.

This team will continue to grow and get better as the year progresses.

I think the way that these games are broadcast by these ****ty guys trying to make a broadcasting career is really changing how people feel watching these games. Youd think every play is some incredible play for some kind of adrenaline rush and/or dopamine hit. Its anxiety inducing compared to like an NFL game

Haha I remember Jeff grounder
I remember being excited for him to become our QB thinking he was going to be really good. First game the first chance he has for an easy TD pass receiver was 15 yards away with nothing between him and the end zone and JG threw the ball 10 yards straight into the ground..

Neither team is average. But it was wild second quarter. Florida scored 21 unanswered points in five minute period.

because a lot of college programs are ok with bein a limited offense buitl around your QB running the ball.
You can win, and do very well..but you will always be limited if your QB cant read a defense and make throws
