You're right it is a small sample size, but the offense lacks creativity and explosiveness. Play calling has been questionable. We've all seen bad, average, and explosive offenses.
This one is lacking.

They look like a well coached veteran team at the mid major level should look like. A team that isn't going to beat itself and will test you on your fundamentals/technique. I hate to say this, and I REALLY hope to eat these words in a couple hours but I knew I should've taken BG and the 23 points. That team isn't a powerhouse but they're not chicken scratch either and they were good enough to take Penn St to the wire in Happy Valley. Meanwhile we've got an unproven QB and some questionable playcalling and coming off a game where maybe we had a week of getting a little full of ourselves……
