Textbook example by Washington as what not to do when leading late in the fourth quarter.
The Huskies are very fortunate to have won this game.
I'm delighted they won, But I don't think they're going to beat Michigan.

Michigan is playing joyless murderball. I don't see them losing. And Harbaugh immediately goes poncing off to the NFL after the game because the NCAA will NOT let him enjoy a natty under the circumstances.

Nah. Committee takes into account major injuries that affect a team's performance. Clearly Travis being out affects their performance. Right call.

But, if you want to tell me the final 4 should have been Michigan/Washington/FSU/Georgia, then maybe you have an argument.

The 4th and 31 messed everything up. Neither t.u. nor Bama makes it without that play.

Yes

It would have been the four undefeated in the playoffs.

But as it has turned out. I like this better. Michigan Vs Washington is nice break from the SEC winning it.

They wouldn't smoke Bama, demonstrably.

I feel bad for them, but they didn't take care of business.

I agree Texas had no business being there.

Don't have to hash it out again.

Man. The disappointment from the ESiPN talking heads is palpable. Herbie looks like he's about to cry again

I watched some of that Michigan game today. It was the first time in a while I listened to herbie......

He is awful. I think he's gotten too full of himself. I dunno. It was not enjoyable

Look at their scores. They had a nice season, but they weren't a juggernaut this year.

They clearly weren't what they had been the two years previous. Very Jekyll and Hyde this year. When they looked like they were taking things seriously they could skull f*** any team in the country. But boy they sure fell asleep at the wheel a couple of times

Still think overall they're the best team in the country. But them vs Michigan would've sure been a classic

No. They still beat UGA, but neither Bama or sip gets in. Bama would have 2 losses, and sips win wouldn't carry as much weight.

The fact that this game was so close when it should have been over can only be chalked up to whorn influence.
No, officials were mostly fine. It was the Wash OC that nearly lost the game.

So far, TCU is the only Texas team to win a CFP game. What a failure for the two highest revenue earning teams in the state.

Nope

No way the SEC would have let Georgia lose against Bama in the champ game if Auburn had not choked that play. SEC would not have taken a chance on being left out of. the playoff. As I already said, it would have been the 4 undefeated teams in the playoff. Pretty much everyone has said this. Besides you.

So with Washington joining the B1G in '24 season, this is virtually an all B1G national championship game
If Georgia and Bama weren't in the same conference this year they might both be in the playoffs.

If this year had been next year, UW and Michigan might have played in the Big 10 CG, with one being knocked out like Georgia was this year.

Of course, next year - with a 12 team field - all would likely get in.

Moot. UGA would've gotten in either way if Bama had 2 losses. Just like TCU and OU did after they lost the conference championships. As for SEC conspiracy theories, whatever. I'm talking about actual game results, not Mark Mangino rants.

Lolz. Terrible take. Looked like the receiver didn't know where the sidelines and the only reason he didn't elevate was because he didn't try to. He was trying to keep his feet on the ground because he thought he'd go out of bounds if he jumped.

Don't get me wrong, I'm old-school and think that was good defense. I'm saying the way the refs typically call today's game, that's pass interference 99% of the time.Plus it was Texas, so they were supposed to "give" the Longhorns an advantage, right? I think this game may have put that trope to bed.
